Sustainable Building Envelope Centre

Corus Colors have appointed RPA to provide Project Management assistance and cost advice on their unique Sustainable Building Envelope Centre (SBEC) at their Shotton site in Deeside.
The centre is to be established to develop the ultimate in low carbon, low energy, sustainable construction technologies where the actual façade of the buildings (walls and roof) are used to transform them from energy consumers into energy generators. It will be a showcase for sustainable products and used to test and monitor new integrated heating, energy and ventilation systems on the fabric of the building.
The centre is one of the ground breaking research projects to come out of the Low Carbon Research Institute Energy programme, which is supported by European funding through the Welsh Assembly Government.
