RPA are engaged as both Project Managers and Construction Cost Consultant to Linc-Cymru Housing Association on a partnering framework being the first publicly funded framework to utilise the PPC 2000 partnering form of contract.
Leadbitter construction were engaged as Construction Partner for a 5 year framework following a selection process via OJEU selection process, all of which was co-ordinated and managed by RPA.
To-date two Extra Care schemes have been successfully completed and are now being managed by Linc-Cymru Housing Association, specifically to meet the Welsh Assembly Government’s strategy to provide quality accommodation and services for older people.
A third Extra Care scheme has now commenced on site in Newport to provide 40 No. one and two bedroom flats with a number of additional features designed to meet the needs of older people with various levels of dementia. This scheme has been contracted at an Agreed Maximum Price of £4.85 million and is due for completion in April 2007.
